Sawdon Heights Farm is situated within in the North York Moors with its beautiful landscape, spectacular coastline, and ancient woodland and historical sites.

Scarborough is a traditional spa and seaside resort in the heart of the Yorkshire coast. Its two bays are over looked by a medieval castle. The town is home to the world renowned playwright Alan Ayckbourne and hosts many popular theatres.

York city is a national gem. Its majestic Minster stands central to a wealth of popular tourist attractions which include the Jorvik centre, Cliffords Tower, National Railway Museum or a river cruise and many more all sited within the Roman city walls.

Whitby with its ancient seaport enjoys fishing and whaling legacy. The home port of Captain Cook the famous navigator, magnificent Whitby Abbey on the cliff top, quaint narrow streets and famous for its fish and Chips.

North York Moors Railway provides 18 miles of preserved steam railway through the spectacular scenery of the North York Moors.

Flamborough Head with its two lighthouses imposing white cliffs and two bays is popular for its fishing and bird watching. Close to Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve home to puffins, gannets, kittiwakes and many more seabirds.

Historical Sites are plentiful in the area, with Castle Howard, Duncombe Park, Scampston Hall and National Trust sites of Nunnington Hall and Rievaulx Terraces to name just a few.
